Product Manager

Tradestead.com is looking for a talented and experienced product manager to help grow our business quickly and profitably. The Product Manager is primarily responsible for leading assigned category in order to optimize sales and margin goals by defining and establishing pricing, category product planning and execution, inventory management and executing market strategies for new products.

Summary job functions

  • Lead the process of product sourcing including supplier and vendor identification, quotation, cost, and contract terms negotiation, etc
  • Approve any purchase orders from purchasing teams which are over the PO limit and/or over daily limit. Also approve any price changes which are below the company set product or shipping margins.
  • Approve all promotion items displayed on Tradestead’s website
  • Responsible for attainment of sales and margin goals, reducing RMA rate and returns. Analyze category sales data and provides category sales forecasts.
  • Review inventory reports and overseeing inventory ratio, cold items and properly balanced inventories.
  • Keep abreast of market trends and identify new product opportunities that reflect customer demands, needs and opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and direction ensuring goals and objectives are specific, measurable and communicated to team.
  • Other ad hoc assignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or equivalent
  • 5 years of work experience in procurement, supply chain and/or manufacturing
  • Excellent knowledge on the electronic products
  • Previous supervisory experience in setting specific goals and communicating expectations
  • Ability to professionally communicate with all levels of management and external clients
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent communication, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Must be self-directed, fast learner and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a team environment
  • Strong reasoning and decision making skills with the ability to deal with multiple issues and details at once
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
