Micro SD (TransFlash) Memory Card is a type of portable flash memory card specifically designed for mobile phones and other small devices. A Micro SD card works in SD-compatible devices via an adapter. Like any flash memory card, it can be used to store various types of files, including photos, videos, music and software. Currently, Micro SD cards with memory capacity of 64 to 512 megabytes are available. The Micro SD memory card is functionally compatible with the SD memory card but is smaller in dimension. The Micro SD memory card communication is based on an advanced 8-pin interface and the host interface supports both regular SD and mini SD memory.
